With more than 15 years’ experience, I Graduated with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy from the University of Ulster Jordanstown, Northern Ireland in 2007.
After graduation I immediately started working in the NHS UK as a Physiotherapist. Very quickly I developed a strong preference to work with patients presenting with Neurological conditions.
I have extensive formal and informal training related to Neurological conditions. I have completed a MSc Module, Interdisciplinary Stroke Care Module, University of Ulster, Jordanstown, N. Ireland. I have a strong passion to improve quality of life of people after Stroke. In the UK I have experience working as a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist in a hospital setting, a stroke unit, the Brain injury team and in the community.
When I moved to Canada in 2016, I worked as a Physiotherapist at Vancouver Coastal Health within the residential care setting. During this time, I developed a care pathway for patients admitted to residential care following a new Stroke. I feel very proud to write that with the whole team approach this led to the discharge home of a number of Stroke survivors.
I have worked at the Amazing Trimetric’s Physiotherapy and complementary Health since 2018. I enjoy treating the whole person at Trimetric’s. Working at this clinic developed more passion to treat the whole person, always take into consideration the body and mind. At the clinic I treat a wide variety of clients. Mostly Neurological conditions, vestibular disorders, Pain, post injury, Post-surgical rehabilitation.
I can treat pain related or unrelated to Neurological conditions. I have completed many manual therapy courses including IMS (Intramuscular stimulation) and Acupuncture. I am a fully certified APPI Pilates instructor. I have experience teaching Pilates to various populations.
Outside work I enjoy spending time with my family. I love to travel, explore Canada, and to socialize with friends.
